This year, Earth Hour will take place on Saturday, 26 March, 8.30 pm – 9.30 pm at the Marina Bay. Join millions around the world as they switch off their lights for an hour.
Earth Hour started in Sydney in 2007 as a call to action to every individual, every business and every community throughout the world to stand up, and lead the global journey to a sustainable future.
Every year people around the world turn off their lights for one hour, Earth Hour, to take a stand and show how by working together we can make a difference.
In 2011, Earth Hour will take place on Saturday, 26 March, 8.30 pm – 9.30 pm.
Join us for an evening of fun at Marina Bay. Participants can look forward to a carnival, outdoor movie screening, concert and the Earth Hour Night Walk. Bring your picnic baskets and candles (bee wax or vegetable wax) and make this a special evening with your family and friends.
Earth Hour has done a lot to raise awareness of climate change issues. But there’s more to it than switching off lights for one hour once a year. Take Earth Hour beyond the hour and make change an everyday part of life.
Don’t Forget! On 26 March, switch OFF your lights from 8.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
