As CEO of WWF-Singapore, Vivek Kumar drives transformative growth and provides strategic leadership in conservation and sustainability strategies with global impact and local relevance.
With over 20 years of leadership experience, he excels in strategic innovation across the nonprofit, media, public sector, and retail industries. Under Vivek’s leadership, WWF-Singapore supports a global network across 100+ countries, focusing on climate action, biodiversity conservation, market transformation, sustainable finance, and community engagement. A good example of WWF’s neutral convenor role is the WWF Earth Summit, which unites stakeholders on climate science and solutions, fostering strategic partnerships with corporates, governments, and communities to advance impactful environmental initiatives.
Vivek brings governance experience from his prior board positions with Enterprise Singapore, IMDA, NTUC Link, and Assurity Trusted Solutions (GovTech Singapore). He also serves as a Steering Committee Member of the Southeast Asia Climate and Nature-based Solutions (SCeNe) Coalition and as Honorary Advisory Committee Member of the Gujarat International Finance Tec (GIFT) City.
Chief Operating Officer
Sophia is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at WWF-Singapore, where she now oversees the organisation’s operational strategy, ensuring alignment with WWF’s mission to drive impactful conservation efforts across Singapore and the region. Previously as the Director of Finance & Operations, she has been instrumental in navigating WWF-Singapore through significant challenges, including the global pandemic, by spearheading digital and operational transformations.
Since joining WWF-Singapore in September 2021, Sophia has been a key figure in reinforcing financial controls and governance to meet stringent compliance with the Singapore Charities Act, Financial Reporting Standards, and WWF’s global policies. Her leadership has consistently focused on enhancing operational efficiency, promoting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring the financial stability needed to support critical conservation initiatives.
Before her tenure at WWF-Singapore, Sophia amassed extensive experience in finance and operations across multiple sectors. She held senior finance roles at Unilever’s global business unit and served on Diageo Asia Pacific’s regional leadership team, where she led initiatives in strategy development, financial planning, and digital transformation. Sophia also spent several years in corporate finance within the energy sector, specialising in project investment, financing, and business expansion.
A Chartered Accountant, Sophia holds a master’s degree in Management of Information Systems and Digital Innovation from the University of Warwick. Outside work, she treasures quality time with her family and enjoys amateur hiking, finding it a perfect way to reconnect with nature.
DIRECTOR OF CONSERVATION & SCIENCE
Uma Sachidhanandam is currently the Director of Conservation & Science at WWF-Singapore where she works with conservation, and education and outreach teams. She was previously a senior lecturer on sustainability with Republic Polytechnic for ten years. She started her career at the Singapore Environment Council and at the time of her departure was Deputy Director of the organisation and Director of Projects. She has had over the years the opportunity to build up a wealth of experience relevant to Singapore’s conservation agenda. She has published scientific papers and books on sustainability issues and biodiversity. She holds a Masters in Zoology from the National University of Singapore.
DIRECTOR OF CLIMATE & SUSTAINABILITY
Kamal Seth is the Climate & Sustainability Director at WWF-Singapore, leading initiatives to leverage the power of the finance sector to transform energy and commodities markets to reach net-zero and nature-positive targets.
He works closely with large-scale organisations to take the necessary actions for UN SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production, UN SDG 13 – Climate Action and UN SDG 15 – Life on Land amongst many others. Kamal has been managing global partnerships and programmes with key stakeholders like companies, financial institutions, civil society organisations, sustainability standards and governments to halt deforestation and improve the livelihood of smallholders connected to commodities like palm oil.
Kamal is a board member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and co-chair of its ‘Assurance Standing Committee’ and ‘Shared Responsibility Working Group’. He is also a member of the RSPO’s ‘Standards Review Steering Group’ and been part of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) ‘Expert Review Panel’, COP26’s Forest, Agriculture and Commodity Trade – FACT Dialogue’s Global Multi-stakeholder Taskforce, UNDP’s Green Commodity Community, OECD-FAO’s Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group on Responsible Agricultural Supply Chains and Zoological Society of London’s Technical Advisory Group for SPOTT platform for palm oil.
DIRECTOR OF GROWTH AND PARTNERSHIPS
Mayj Tolentino is the Director of Growth and Partnerships, where she leads and develops fundraising and retention strategies across WWF’s various fundraising channels within corporate partnerships, philanthropy and individual giving.
Funds raised are then used to support WWF’s education and conservation work such as youth programmes, coral reef restoration in Singapore and within the Coral Triangle, mangrove restoration and wildlife protection across the region and many more. Mayj’s team also works closely with WWF’s Climate and Sustainability Team to improve businesses’ supply chains and the production of commodities that affect forests, freshwater, oceans and the global climate.
Before her Director appointment, Mayj headed WWF’s Partnerships Team and was instrumental in developing long-term partnerships with Marina Bay Sands, Grab, Asian Tigers Mobility, regional collaborations with Epson Southeast Asia and Agoda, including the first-ever international partnership for Earth Hour with Epson.
Mayj holds a Bachelor’s Degree, Major in Marketing Management from St. Scholastica’s College, Manila, and is a graduate of Inspirational Leadership, International Institute for Management Development (IMD Business School).
DIRECTOR OF PEOPLE & CULTURE
Linda Koh joined WWF-Singapore as Director, People & Culture on 22 November 2023, bringing with her 20 years of HR expertise. Prior to her role, Linda served as the Director of Human Resources at Shangri-La Singapore, where she was a key member of the Executive Committee and provided invaluable HR advisory and support to the hotel’s senior leadership team. She also served SMRT Corporation Ltd, a public transport service provider, as Senior HRBP and has been in a leadership position leading HR teams since 2009.
Linda’s extensive HR leadership extends beyond Singapore to encompass markets within the Southeast Asia & Australasia Region, including Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, Thailand, and Australia, where she managed the full spectrum of HR services.
Linda graduated with a Masters in Human Resource Management from Murdoch University, Australia.
DIRECTOR, PROTECTED AND CONSERVED AREAS (PCA) MANAGEMENT AND GOVERNANCE
Rohit has been with WWF for 16 years, bringing extensive experience, enthusiasm, and insights into his role as Director of Protected and Conserved Areas Management and Governance. With almost 20 years of experience in Nature Conservation, Protected Area Management, and Illegal Wildlife Trade issues, Rohit has played a pivotal role in advancing the global agenda to professionalise the ranger force. Additionally, he serves as the International Ranger Federation’s Asia Representative. In recognition of his leadership in ranger work, Rohit was awarded the KfW-Bernhard-Grzimek-Preis in 2022.
GLOBAL LEAD, CARBON FINANCE & MARKETS TASKFORCE
Rueban Manokara is the Global Lead of the Carbon Finance and Markets Taskforce, WWF. He oversees the policy development and implementation efforts related to carbon finance within WWF’s networks.
Rueban also serves as a Technical Advisory Body member of the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation, the carbon reduction programme administered by the UN’s International Civil Aviation Organisation. Rueban previously served in the National Climate Change Secretariat in the Strategy Group, Prime Minister’s Office, Singapore as Singapore’s lead negotiator for Article 6 at the UNFCCC and coordinated the development of Singapore’s carbon market policy.
HEAD OF EDUCATION OUTREACH
Jayasri has been working in the field of nature conservation and research management in Singapore for more than 10 years. She obtained a Bachelors in Life sciences and Masters in Science Communication from the National University of Singapore. She has led multiple nature outreach initiatives such as citizen science surveys and education programmes for school students. She is deeply interested in primate behaviour, having done research projects on Long-tailed Macaques in Singapore and published articles in reputed journals. At WWF-Singapore, she heads the Education and Outreach team and oversees various engagements for students, youth, volunteers and the community.
HEAD OF FACE-TO-FACE DEVELOPMENT & GROWTH
Timothy has been working in the field of fundraising and team management at WWF-Singapore for 9 years now. He began his journey with the organisation by managing a small team and has grown to oversee WWF-Singapore’s Face-to-Face Development & Growth team. Timothy holds a wealth of experience in recruiting, team management, leadership training, budget management, and performance evaluation.
During his tenure, Timothy has built a resilient and adaptable team, crucial during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic. His relentless focus on developing leaders, maintaining high ethical standards and driving the success of fundraising initiatives has been instrumental to WWF-Singapore. Known for his excellent communication skills and infectious passion, Timothy is deeply committed to the organisation’s mission of environmental conservation.
As the Head of Face-to-Face Development & Growth, he continues to lead and inspire his team towards achieving significant fundraising goals and making a lasting impact. Timothy holds an International Business Management degree from Northumbria University, Newcastle.
HEAD OF PHILANTHROPY
Rindy oversees the Philanthropy portfolio of WWF-Singapore where she develops and manages relationships with philanthropists, family offices, trusts and foundations to support the WWF’s strategic priorities in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
She started her career in the arts industry, working at the National Palace Museum in Taipei, the British Museum and Sotheby’s London and New York. Over the past decade, Rindy has held positions such as Chief of Staff for the China office of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Executive Director of the US-China Innovation Alliance, primarily focusing on developing and building key partnerships.
Rindy holds a Bachelor’s degree double majoring in Cinema and Media Studies and East Asian Studies from Wellesley College, and a Master’s degree in Art History from Oxford University.
HEAD OF MARKET TRANSFORMATION
Stephanie Lim leads Market Transformation initiatives and projects at WWF-Singapore. She is responsible for driving collaborations and innovations in the areas of responsible sourcing and circular economy among businesses and the public. Recently, she secured the coveted Innovation Fund Grant for a traceability project in Malaysia. Additionally, she sits on the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) Smallholder Standing Committee, a key group that promotes certification for smallholder farmers.
Stephanie represents Singapore at various events in the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) and has been invited to speak about sustainability at events hosted by think tanks and government ministries. She holds a Master of Science in Food Policy from the University of London and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the National University of Singapore.
HEAD OF FINANCE & PROCUREMENT
Jacitha heads the Finance department where she oversees finance operations, controls and governance.
She graduated with a major in Accounting and Finance from Hawaii Pacific University and is a chartered accountant with the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants. Additionally, she holds an advanced diploma in ERP Project Management.
With a career spanning various industries, including telecommunications, media, education and wellness, Jacintha brings a wealth of experience. In her previous roles, she has been instrumental in leading finance functions for several key projects such as the implementation of new billing and financial systems and co-managing the deployment of new CRM solutions for managing student records and attendance.
Outside of her professional work, Jacintha finds solace in leisure walks in the parks of Singapore. She also volunteers as an accountant at a Confucius Studies Centre.
HEAD OF STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS & EXTERNAL RELATIONS
Hazel Xu is the Head of Strategic Communications & External Relations. In her role, Hazel and her team advocate for positive change both locally and regionally through strategy-led initiatives, with the goal of creating a sustainable future in which nature and people thrive together. They achieve this by fostering collaboration with communities, businesses and governments.
She brings 12 years of integrated communications experience in both the private and statutory sectors, having held various positions at Asia Pacific Breweries Singapore (APBS) – an operating company of HEINEKEN, Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC), and Mount Faber Leisure Group.
Hazel holds a Bachelor of Communications from the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and has earned an executive leadership certificate from Harvard Kennedy School.
HEAD OF DATA & TECHNOLOGY
Wynnie leads the Data Governance and Operations team, overseeing system support administration, data governance initiatives, and due diligence compliance.
In her previous roles, she was a key member of the team that implemented integrated CRM systems, which significantly reduced data risks and improved operational efficiency. With over 10 years of experience in various non-profit charities, Wynnie is dedicated to leveraging her expertise to ensure data integrity and promote effective governance within the organisation.
