#YourTrashMyTreasure - A Plastic Redemption Story

So you decided NOT to throw a boba cup because you had an amazing burst of inspiration to use it as a garden pot? If you have given a second life to a plastic item, we are inviting you to share your own experience to win amazing prizes!

Simply share a photo showcasing your creatively repurposed plastic items in the #YourTrashMyTreasure photo contest below! The upcycled item could be as practical as a garden pot or as stylish as a jewelry case. Put on your creative hats and let’s show everyone that sustainability can be easy, fun, and innovative!

Winners will be chosen based on functionality, creativity, ease of adoption, practicality, and impact. Upon the closing of the contest, winners will be notified via email or a call.

I’m interested, how do I sign up?

Contest period: 4-20 October 2023

Submission criteria:

  • Follow our WWF-SG Facebook page or Instagram account (@wwfsg)
  • Submit one (x1) JPG or PNG file, in less than 5MB. Photos can be raw unedited quality as long as we can tell what item it is!
  • Write a short description in less than 50 words to elaborate on your creation—tell us your story!
  • The repurposed item could be a household or DIY craft! However, it needs to serve a functional purpose. Commercial recycled items (including upcycled items for sale) and art installations will be disqualified.
  • The item must be yours, and you must have full rights to the photo submitted.
  • Only one submission per person is allowed. Pick your best idea!
